Shoot April 2011

We were blessed with a glorious sunshine for our first shoot of this year.

A big welcome to Steve Colville from Warners and Richard Cheek from Blain Pritchard, both were shooting for the first time and both did very well. It was good to see some familiar faces too!

Mike, our instructor was on good form with his humour and more importantly, his expertise. We started off with a 30 clay practice over 5 stands with included the ever tricky “rabbit” which seems to escape everything fired at it.

After a refreshing tea & coffee break it was straight in to the competition with 50 clays over the same 5 stands and the good inter- rivalry showing itself between Peter Smith and Fergus Ross. It was hard fought to the end with Fergus just taking the lead by 2 to win top prize and hold the coveted trophy which was presented by Michael Breeze from Kaslers. See photo on website.

Gillian at the WKSC served up a delicious Lamb shank Lunch followed by apple crumble for dessert which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Great fun was had by all and we are all looking forward to the next Hit & Miss event on June 17^th 2011. Michelle Brennan is hoping to get a ladies team together so if you are interested in having fun and trying something new then please contact Michelle on mab@kaslers.co.uk
