Litigation
One can litigate about virtually anything
Links can be made back to almost every area of law mentioned in this website - company, contract, debt, employment, partnership, personal injury and so on. Depending on the nature of the matter, various rules will apply about how that litigation is conducted.

However, we have also been involved in the following specialist areas:
Insurance
We dealt with a three week hearing on the regulation of the Offshore Insurance Industry. The DTI sought to clarify section 2 of the Insurance Companies Act 1982 and chose our clients as the test case. The favourable (to our clients) High Court decision was reported in the Times Law Reports and the favourable Court of Appeal decision gave us our clients the costs of both hearings
Passing off
We have much experience in dealing with "pirates" who seek to profit by passing off inferior goods as those of our clients. We have initiated proceedings to prevent copy-cat operations benefiting from our clients' marketing campaigns and reputations primarily in the clothing and fast food industries. In March 2003, our involvement resulted in a commercial concern withdrawing its website for re-design following a complaint by our client web design company about breach of their copyright
Professional disciplinary proceedings
One or two of our estate agency, legal, accounting and insurance broking friends have had difficulties with their respective professional bodies and we have represented them in "putting their best foot forward"
