Michael Breeze – Solicitor and member of the LLP

michael breezeMichael qualified in 1977, joined the Firm (then based in the City of London) in 1979, became a partner in 1980, a sole practitioner in 1991, brought the firm out of the City of London in 1993, expanded the firm into the Docklands and formed the LLP with Simon Scott in 2005.

Michael has historically had a general practice (as illustrated by the wide variety of work listed in the "Areas of Work") but now specializes in Business Law, Company and Commercial work.

He belongs to, or has belonged to, various local groupings of business people such as Business Network International ("BNI") and the Institute of Directors ("IOD").

He is a keen tennis player, Freemason, belongs to West Kent Speakers Club and Kent Executive Club (in respect of both of which he is a Past President). He likes to travel...

He is remarried, with one teenage daughter from his previous marriage.

Simon Scott – Solicitor and member of the LLP, Property Partner

simon scottSimon joined the firm in October 2001 and qualified as a solicitor in 2004. He is a member of the Limited Liability Partnership

Simon works in our Property Department specialising in Commercial Property Law

He has developed an expertise in leases for telecomms masts [mobile phone masts] to be placed on top of blocks of flats, office blocks, grandstands and in green field sites and is overseeing the installation and implementation of our new conveyancing software package.

Simon graduated from Staffordshire University Law School . He is an enthusiastic rugby player representing Dartfordians in Bexleyheath. He is also a keen environmentalist through his work with Friends of the Earth.

Simon rides a motorcycle and enjoys a round of golf, if the sun is shining. He is married and lives locally in Kent.


Vanessa Adamson – Senior Wills & Probate Paralegal

vanessa adamsonVanessa joined the firm in 1997 as a Senior Paralegal. She drafts Wills for us and advises on Inheritance Tax Planning.

She handles the administration of trusts and ;estates [probate and intestacy work].

She also deals with issues that particularly affect the elderly such as Ordinary and Lasting Powers of Attorney applications to the Public Guardianship Office (the old Court of Protection)


Selwan Yousif – Property Trainee Solicitor

selwan yousifSelwan graduated in law in 1998 with an LLB honours degree. After successfully completing the LPC at Westminster University he worked on a voluntary basis at law firms before joining Kaslers. Since the LPC, he has developed an interest in the areas of commercial law, property (both residential & commercial), litigation, and employment law.

He has also in the past represented home-owners on mortgage repossession claims at County Court.

Selwan currently works alongside Simon Scott in the property department and together they have created the ideal team that can look after all your conveyancing needs. Having purchased and sold several properties in the past, Selwan understands the frustrations and difficulties involved in buying and selling properties, and is always on hand to help make your transaction as smooth as possible.

He lives locally in Bexley with his wife and daughter. In his spare time Selwan likes to play football and cricket and is an avid England supporter.


Felicity Keeler – Senior Civil Litigation Paralegal

felicity keelerFelicity worked for the firm 1995 - 2001 and re-joined in Summer 2007, having worked for another Kent law firm in the intervening period

She has a Diploma in Magisterial Law and worked as a Magistrates Court Clerk for several years before joining Kaslers

She specialises in all aspects of civil litigation in both the County Court and High Court and also before various Tribunals.


Michelle Brennan – Junior Matrimonial Paralegal

michelle brennanMichelle joined in January 2007

She works in our Matrimonial Department specialising in all aspects of family acting for Husband or Wife in County Courts around Kent and in the Principal Registry of the Family Division - part of the High Court in London.

 

 


zal virjeeZal Virjee – Office Administrator

Zal joined in Summer 2006

Kaslers, in the main, communicates by email, but unfortunately, many solicitors still rely on post. Zal's main workload involves scanning all hard copy documents and emailing them to where they need to be.

He has a comprehensive knowledge of our clients and can facilitate many of the usual procedures involved in running, often, quite large and complicated, matters.


karen fulfordKaren Fulford – Secretary

Karen has been with the firm since the early 1990's acting as Secretary to Michael Breeze and generally running many of the aspects of managing a firm of solicitors, in particular maintaining our extensive bank of legal precedents.
