Kaslers is a team of 12 solicitors, paralegals and support staff, each expert in the fields of business, property and personal law. Meet the team!
Michael Breeze
Michael qualified in 1977, and specialises in Business Law, Company and Commercial work.
He joined Leonard Kaslers (then based in the City of London) in 1979 and became a partner in 1980. Michael then relocated the firm out of the City of London in 1993 to create a new office in Kent. He later expanded Kaslers into the Docklands and formed the LLP with Simon Scott in 2005.
Michael is an avid networker and enjoys spending time with business contacts and friends through Business Network International ("BNI") and the Institute of Directors ("IOD").
A keen tennis player and Freemason, Michael also belongs to West Kent Speakers Club and Kent Executive Club. He and his wife love to travel although his teenage daughter keeps his feet firmly on the ground!

Simon Scott
Simon runs the Property Department at Kaslers and despite the housing slump and economic uncertainty has grown the department over the last five years predominantly through a strong reputation for quality of service. Simon joined Kaslers in October 2001 having graduated from Staffordshire University Law School. Having qualified as a solicitor in 2004 Simon is a member of the Limited Liability Partnership.
When not at work, Simon loves a ride around the Kent countryside on his prized motorbike along with a game of golf, if the sun is shining.
Simon is an enthusiastic rugby player and is a member of the Aylesford Bulls club. He is also a keen environmentalist and supporter of Friends of the Earth.
Simon is married with two children and lives locally in Kent.

Chris Lodge
Chris run the Road Traffic Accident Department at Kaslers.
Chris sits on the management committee of the Motor Accident Solicitors Society which includes over 150 of the UK’s leading personal injury firms and acts as the regional co-ordinator for the South East.
Chris strongly believes in providing clients with a personal service in an impersonal world and feels this fits right in with the work ethic at Kaslers.
Chris lives locally, is married and can speak fluent French.

Vanessa Adamson
Vanessa started her legal career in the Legal Department of the Church Commissioners for England. She then moved to private practice where she focused on conveyancing, estate administration and Wills.
In 1997 Vanessa joined Kaslers where she has retained a focus on Wills, the administration of Trusts, probate and Enduring Powers of Attorney. Vanessa has gained over 20 years experience in these areas, and really enjoys working with people to resolve issues and plan for the future.
Married with two children, Vanessa is a keen gardener and an avid historian with a strong interest in Tudor, Georgian and Victorian periods.

Michelle Brennan
Michelle specialises in all aspects of family law. She has acted for Husbands and Wives in County Courts around Kent and in the Principal Registry of the Family Division - part of the High Court in London.
Absolute confidentiality and a practical, plain English approach to Law underpin Michelle’s divorce services. Michelle works with clients to avoid a ‘war of words’ but instead, resolve difficult issues with a thoughtful, efficient approach.
Michelle is married and has a daughter Lisa and son Shaun and a stepdaughter Emily. She loves spending time with her family, going to the theatre and opera . Michelle is a keen netball player and plays for the "Ladybirds" at the Aylesford Netball and Rugby Club.

Selwan Yousif
Selwan graduated in law in 1998 with an LLB honours degree. After successfully completing the LPC at Westminster University he worked on a voluntary basis at law firms before joining Kaslers as a Trainee Solicitor. Since the LPC, he has developed an interest in the areas of commercial law, property (both residential & commercial), litigation, and employment law.
Selwan currently works alongside Simon Scott in the property department and together they have created the ideal team that can look after all your conveyancing needs. Having purchased and sold several properties in the past, Selwan understands the frustrations and difficulties involved in buying and selling properties. He is always on hand to help make your transaction as smooth as possible.
He lives in Bexley, Kent with his wife and daughter. In his spare time Selwan likes to play football and cricket and is an avid England supporter.

Felicity Keeler
Felicity’s experience is firmly rooted in the legal world. She initially began training as a Legal Executive with a firm of solicitors in Maidstone. Felicity then moved to the Magistrates Court Service where she trained as a Court Clerk. She also obtained a Diploma in Magisterial Law at Bristol University at this time.
In 1980 Felicity left full time work to have a family and returned in 1991 to join Kaslers on all aspects of Civil Litigation. In 2001 Felicity moved to a firm of solicitors in Tunbridge Wells, gaining experience in Commercial Dispute Resolution before rejoining Kaslers in October 2007.
Felicity has experience in many different areas of civil litigation including director’s disputes, debt enforcement, building disputes, landlord and tenant issues, mediation and recently, family related matters.
Married with two daughters and one granddaughter, Felicity is a Parish Councillor and is actively involved in local fundraising projects.

Helen Knowles
Helen, originates from Cheshire and moved to Kent in 1981, is a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals as well as being a member of the Institute of Legal Executives. Helen has considerable experience of both Residential and Commercial Conveyancing. She comes to Kaslers Solicitors LLP from her previous position in Whitstable, and throughout her lengthy legal career has worked in law firms in Maidstone and Thanet.
Helen lives on the coast of Ramsgate with her husband and cat and having bought and sold several properties over the years can empathise with clients when they go through this process. Helen provides a personal service to help clients to make it an enjoyable and pain free process.

Luke English
Luke joined Kaslers in May 2009 to run the Intellectual Property and Media Department using his ten years experience in the music, television, film and theatre industry to get the best deal for his clients whether large or small.
When not at work, Luke is a DJ for nightclubs and private events with a vast, eclectic music collection.
Luke is a keen football supporter and player. He is also a youth leader at a local church youth club.
Luke is married and lives locally in Kent.

Richard Rook
Richard joined the firm in March 2008, to manage our book keeping and accounting functions, using specialised legal practice management software. He is responsible for financial record keeping and reporting and manages our debt collection department, as well as liaising with our bank and accountants.
In his spare time he works with various performing arts groups, and may have been seen treading the boards at local theatres, including The Churchill, The Stag, The Bob Hope and The Ashcroft, but he confines his passion for drama to out of work hours!

Zal Virjee
Zal joined in Summer 2006.
Kaslers, in the main, communicates by email, but unfortunately, many solicitors still rely on post. Zal's main workload involves scanning all hard copy documents and emailing them to where they need to be.
He has a comprehensive knowledge of our clients and can facilitate many of the usual procedures involved in running, often, quite large and complicated, matters.
Karen Fulford
Karen has been with the firm since the early 1990's acting as Secretary to Michael Breeze and generally running many of the aspects of managing a firm of solicitors, in particular maintaining our extensive bank of legal precedents.
